If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed nation to advance to the Knockout Stage (e.g. they are mathematically eliminated), the associated market will resolve to "No". If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 12, 2026, 11:59 PM ET or the 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 matchups have not been declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “No”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The 2026 FIFA World Cup opens with 48 teams split across 12 groups, where the top two sides from each group plus the best third-placed teams advance to the round of 32. Pre-tournament power rankings place Spain, France, Argentina, England, and Brazil at the top, reflecting strong recent form, deep squads, and favorable group draws featuring several lower-ranked opponents. Host nations Mexico, Canada, and the United States benefit from home support and seeding, while group difficulty varies significantly—some contain multiple contenders that could create tighter races for advancement spots. Key variables include injury updates to star players, opening-match results that establish early momentum, and the expanded format's emphasis on consistent group-stage performance over single upsets. Trader consensus on advancement probabilities aligns closely with these structural and squad-strength factors.
