**Tight competition among mid-tier hits and fresh releases is shaping trader views on the #2 US Spotify weekly chart slot for the period ending around September 11.** Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” currently sits at #2 with solid but softening streams, while Olivia Rodrigo’s “stupid song” and “the cure” sit immediately behind and have shown recent gains in daily velocity. Ella Langley’s dominant “Choosin’ Texas” at #1 creates a high bar, yet the #2 battle remains fluid as new entries like Miley Cyrus’s “Bass Persuades” (released September 3 with strong promotional push) and KAROL G’s “BbY WOW” collab post notable early gains. Traders weigh factors such as playlist momentum, fan-driven streaming spikes, and historical patterns where mid-chart tracks can surge or fade quickly in the final days of a tracking week. Upcoming chart updates and any late-week promotional boosts will likely determine which contender pulls ahead.
