The primary resolution source will be the official results published by the event organizer or governing body. The FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind features a deep, balanced field entering the first PGA Tour playoff event, with no single player holding a decisive edge in recent form or course history. Contenders such as Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Sam Burns bring strong recent results and proven accuracy off the tee and with irons, traits rewarded on this demanding layout. Multiple players including Ludvig Åberg, Akshay Bhatia, and others sit in comparable positions after solid summer performances, while the compressed playoff schedule and potential for low scoring keep the third-round lead wide open. This parity reflects trader consensus on even odds across a talented group where small differences in ball-striking or putting can shift the leaderboard quickly.
