Carlton’s late-season surge under caretaker-turned-permanent coach Josh Fraser, including a draw that locked in finals, has created near-even implied probabilities against Adelaide despite the Crows’ superior ladder position and home advantage at Adelaide Oval. Both sides carry injury concerns heading into Round 24, with Carlton managing ankle issues for key players like Will Hayward while Adelaide deals with recent absences. The Blues’ improved midfield contested ball and forward pressure offset the Crows’ stronger overall record this year, leaving traders viewing the matchup as highly competitive. A strong performance from either side’s key midfielders or favorable selection changes could quickly shift sentiment ahead of the August 21 clash.
