Recent polls from July and August 2026 show Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms and Republican Rick Jackson in a tight two-candidate contest, with leads typically ranging from 1 to 7 points and undecided voters between 5% and 14%. Georgia’s majority-vote requirement for the November 3 general election means an outright winner avoids the December 1 runoff. Primary resolutions in May and June eliminated other contenders, leaving a polarized matchup with substantial campaign spending on both sides. Trader consensus at 90.5% for an outright winner reflects expectations that turnout patterns and limited third-party support will push the leader above 50%, consistent with historical general-election outcomes in the state despite the current closeness.
