Angie Nixon secured a commanding lead in the Broward County portion of Florida’s 2026 U.S. Senate special election after winning the Democratic primary by double digits statewide and by an even wider margin in the county on August 18. Broward’s heavy Democratic registration and voting patterns favor the party’s nominee against Republican incumbent Ashley Moody, who cleared her own primary with minimal opposition. Traders reflect this structural advantage in current pricing. Moody’s statewide strength and fundraising edge could narrow gaps elsewhere, yet shifts in Broward turnout or unexpected late developments would be required to alter the county outcome before November 3.
