Tim Fleming and Penny Brown Reynolds head into the November 3 general election for Georgia secretary of state in a closely contested open-seat race, with trader consensus reflecting Georgia’s status as a battleground where election administration draws intense scrutiny. Fleming, a Republican state representative and former chief of staff to Governor Brian Kemp, emphasizes election integrity measures such as voter ID. Reynolds, a Democrat and former Fulton County judge with Biden administration experience, highlights voting access and modernizing professional licensing. Both secured their nominations by wide margins in June runoffs after competitive primaries. Limited recent polling and the absence of major late-breaking developments have kept implied probabilities tight, with shifts likely hinging on turnout patterns, campaign events, or any renewed focus on voting procedures in the weeks ahead.
