Recent reports that the Milwaukee Bucks are open to trading Giannis Antetokounmpo this offseason, following a disappointing 2026 draft lottery and owner directives for a pre-draft resolution, have elevated Miami Heat, Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, and Los Angeles Clippers as frontrunners in trader consensus. These teams offer appealing combinations of established talent, cap space for a max extension, and draft assets that could match Milwaukee’s asking price for the two-time MVP, who holds a player option after next season. The Heat’s top positioning reflects perceived roster fit and prior interest, while the Suns and Mavericks benefit from star power that could accelerate contention windows. In contrast, the Bucks’ 12.5% share signals market expectation of a deal rather than an extension.
