This market will resolve to the player that wins the Norway Chess Women 2026 tournament scheduled for May 25 - June 5, 2026. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed player to win the Norway Chess Women 2026 tournament per the rules provided by the event organizer, the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the Norway Chess Women 2026 tournament is cancelled, postponed, or partially completed after June 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from the event organizer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Trader consensus evenly splits at 50% apiece between veteran Indian GM Humpy Koneru and rising Kazakh GM Bibisara Assaubayeva for the Norway Chess Women 2026 title in this six-player double round-robin, underscoring a razor-thin contest despite higher-rated favorites Ju Wenjun (2559 FIDE) and Zhu Jiner (2547). Assaubayeva's momentum from runner-up finish at the April FIDE Women's Candidates—where she toppled Zhu and Anna Muzychuk—fuels her co-favorite status, offsetting Koneru's March withdrawal from that event over safety concerns. Koneru's classical solidity (2535 rating, third in 2025 edition behind champion Muzychuk) and head-to-head edges balance the field, with Armageddon tiebreaks likely pivotal in the May 25-June 5 Oslo showdown.
