Alex Smalley holds a narrow lead after 54 holes at Aronimink Golf Club, but the 2026 PGA Championship remains wide open with multiple contenders within striking distance entering the final round. Jon Rahm, Ludvig Aberg, and Rory McIlroy sit just behind on the leaderboard and in trader-implied probabilities, reflecting strong recent major-championship form and consistent ball-striking on this demanding layout. Scottie Scheffler slipped back after a challenging third round, opening the door for others while historical come-from-behind trends and late-round momentum keep the top group tightly bunched. The current positioning underscores how small shifts in scoring or course conditions can still reshape outcomes among these closely matched players.
