The 2026 PGA Championship presents a tightly bunched leaderboard where the top five contenders occupy a narrow band of implied probabilities, highlighting the depth of the field and the inherent unpredictability of major-championship golf. Jon Rahm, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Ludvig Åberg sit atop the market on the strength of their recent ball-striking form, proven major pedigrees, and historical success at Quail Hollow–style layouts, while players such as Aaron Rai and Chris Gotterup remain within striking distance thanks to strong current trends in approach play and putting. This competitive dynamic stems from the large number of golfers capable of contending on a given week, with rest advantages, course-specific shot-making demands, and recent momentum shifts keeping outcomes fluid heading into the event.
