In the early stages of the 2026 NFL season, the tightly bunched pricing around 49% for dozens of running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends in the Week 2 scrimmage touchdowns leader market reflects broad uncertainty over single-week scoring distribution. Official injury reports, training camp usage patterns, and preseason depth chart shifts have left multiple teams with unclear lead backs or primary targets, while favorable matchups against defenses allowing high red-zone volume keep several players in contention. Recent roster moves and scheme adjustments under new coordinators further fragment opportunities, with no dominant historical edge emerging for any one athlete after just one regular-season game. The wisdom of crowds in these prices captures the inherent week-to-week variance in goal-line work and passing-game involvement across the league.
