**James Talarico (D) leads trader expectations for winning Collin County at 60%, ahead of Ken Paxton (R) at 38.5% in the November 3, 2026, Texas U.S. Senate general election.** Paxton secured the Republican nomination by defeating incumbent Sen. John Cornyn in the May 26 primary runoff, aided by a Trump endorsement, but this positioned him as a more polarizing nominee in suburban areas. Talarico won the Democratic primary over Rep. Jasmine Crockett. Recent polls show the statewide race as a toss-up or narrow contest, with Talarico holding fundraising and spending advantages. Collin County-specific factors include questions over Paxton's long-term voting address there and campaign focus on local issues such as the EPIC City development. Suburban voter trends in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and heavy outside spending against Paxton contribute to the market's assessment of Talarico's stronger position in the county.
