Aaron Sorkin’s return to the Facebook universe as writer-director of *The Social Reckoning* drives most trader interest, building on the original *The Social Network*’s 96% Tomatometer while introducing fresh risks. The companion piece dramatizes Frances Haugen’s 2021 whistleblower leak with a cast led by Mikey Madison, Jeremy Allen White, and Jeremy Strong as a more powerful Mark Zuckerberg; principal photography wrapped in late 2025 after a London premiere on September 29. Early positioning reflects Sorkin’s sharp dialogue strengths offset by mixed reception to his prior directorial efforts and the R-rated shift toward contemporary corporate intrigue. With wide release set for October 9, initial critic scores will shape the Tomatometer rapidly, making guild and precursor signals less relevant than opening-week reviews and audience word-of-mouth on the timely social-media reckoning narrative.
