Trader consensus overwhelmingly favors the Los Angeles Chargers at 89.8% implied probability for David Njoku's 2026-27 team after reports emerged this week that the veteran tight end agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $8 million following his free agency exit from the Cleveland Browns. Coming off an injury-shortened 2025 season, Njoku visited the Chargers post-2026 NFL Draft, filling a proven receiving tight end void to complement Justin Herbert in Jim Harbaugh's offense alongside youngsters like Oronde Gadsden II. His nine-year Browns tenure ended amid cap restructuring, propelling the Chargers as clear frontrunners. Scenarios challenging this include a failed physical, surprise restructured Browns offer, or competing bids from AFC rivals like the Chiefs, though official activation seems likely barring hiccups.
