This market will resolve to "Yes" if any best-of-five match at VALORANT Champions 2026 (also known as VCT Champions 2026), currently scheduled for September 24 to October 18, 2026, in Shanghai, China is decided in a fifth map (i.e., the match is tied 2-2 and a fifth map is completed). Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". Only matches officially played in a best-of-five format count. Under the announced format, the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final are the tournament's best-of-five matches; if the format changes, any match actually played as a best-of-five counts. A fifth map awarded by forfeit without being played does not count. If VALORANT Champions 2026 is canceled, postponed after November 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or no best-of-five match has been completed within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be the official match results and per-map statistics on vlr.gg (https://www.vlr.gg/event/2766/valorant-champions-2026). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**The 50% implied probability for any series reaching five maps at VALORANT Champions 2026 reflects the tournament's format limiting such outcomes to just the lower bracket final and grand final, both best-of-five.** Group stage and most playoff matches are best-of-three, so only deep playoff runs by evenly matched contenders can produce a 3-2 result. Qualified teams from Americas, EMEA, Pacific, and China—including 100 Thieves, Paper Rex, NRG, G2 Esports, Karmine Corp, and TYLOO—bring strong recent form from Stage 2 and Championship Points paths, creating potential for close late-series matchups. Pre-tournament roster adjustments, such as Team Liquid's changes, add uncertainty around execution under pressure. Developments like unexpected group-stage upsets, strong underdog advances, or fatigue in the double-elimination bracket could increase the chance of extended finals, while dominant favorites reaching the end cleanly would reduce it.
