Valve recently reworked and released Cache in a late April 2026 CS2 patch, adding the map to Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes while keeping it out of the official Active Duty pool used for Premier matchmaking and pro events. The update preserves the classic layout with Source 2 visuals and minor tweaks, aligning with Valve's pattern of testing maps before seasonal rotations. Analysts expect inclusion after the IEM Cologne Major 2026 to launch Premier Season 5, likely replacing a lower-played map such as Mirage or Vertigo based on community data and historical pool changes. This timing and potential roster impact continue to shape trader sentiment around the resolution date.
