Dominika Salkova enters this Roland Garros WTA qualifying clash as the higher-ranked player at approximately No. 115, bringing recent clay-court momentum from her run to the quarterfinals at the Parma Ladies Open after claiming a WTA 125 singles title earlier in 2026 on hard courts. The 21-year-old Czech has compiled an 11-12 record this season and holds a slight edge in overall career form against lower-ranked opponents. Susan Bandecchi, a 27-year-old Swiss ranked around No. 215, counters with a 16-13 mark in 2026 highlighted by victories over Priscilla Hon and Alycia Parks on clay at Parma before her quarterfinal exit. Their lone prior meeting dates to 2023 with Bandecchi prevailing, though the slow red clay and current form favor Salkova's consistency in extended rallies.
