Flavio Cobolli enters this clay-court first-round matchup at the Hamburg European Open as the clear favorite, drawing on his strong recent form on the surface and proven record against lower-ranked opponents. The Italian has posted a 16-5 clay mark over the past year, including multiple ATP titles on the dirt, while Ignacio Buse arrives as a qualifier with limited main-draw experience and no prior head-to-head history against Cobolli. Buse’s solid Challenger results and recent qualifying wins provide some momentum, yet Cobolli’s higher ranking, superior serve and movement on clay, plus familiarity with the Hamburg venue, shape the trader consensus reflected in current pricing. Weather and any late injury updates remain the primary variables that could influence the outcome on Tuesday.
