Carlos Alcaraz's withdrawal from the 2026 French Open due to a wrist injury—announced ahead of the May 24 start—has locked in trader consensus at 99.5% for None, as he was the sole Australian Open champion earlier this year, completing his career Grand Slam with a straight-sets win over Novak Djokovic in Melbourne. No other ATP player can claim all four majors (Australian Open, Roland Garros, Wimbledon, US Open) in the same calendar year without the AO title. This rarity echoes Rod Laver's lone Open Era feat in 1969, with physical demands and surface transitions amplifying barriers. A realistic challenge would require Alcaraz to reverse his withdrawal, recover fully, and dominate the remaining Slams, an improbable sequence given injury timelines and depth in the draw.
