Jerome Kym enters the Roland Garros qualifying draw as the higher-ranked player at No. 187, bringing stronger recent clay-court form and a career-high ATP singles mark near 123. The 23-year-old Swiss right-hander has posted an 83% win rate across his last six matches and holds a head-to-head edge after defeating Tom Gentzsch on clay in an ITF final last year. Gentzsch, a 22-year-old German ranked No. 219, arrives with solid qualifying experience but fewer recent results at this level. Both players favor the red clay surface at Stade Roland Garros, where the match is scheduled for Court 13, and any late adjustments to fitness or preparation could shift the competitive balance in this first-round qualifier.
