Luka Mikrut and Nishesh Basavareddy meet in US Open qualifying round two on outdoor hard courts, with Basavareddy entering as the higher-ranked American and former top-100 player. Both advanced from round one on August 25, Mikrut in straight sets over Nikolas Sanchez Izquierdo and Basavareddy in three sets against Moise Kouame. The pair has no prior head-to-head, limited hard-court volume this season, and comparable recent form. Key variables include adaptation to New York conditions, recovery between qualifier matches, and Basavareddy’s greater main-draw experience at majors.
