Carlton’s stunning resurgence under interim coach Josh Fraser, capped by a 19-point wildcard victory over Melbourne, has created strong momentum heading into the elimination final at the MCG. The Blues overcame an early 1-8 start to finish 10th and have now beaten Geelong once already this season by four points. Key contributors like Sam Walsh, Jagga Smith, and Patrick Cripps remain influential, though the short six-day turnaround after the wildcard adds fatigue risk. Geelong’s higher ladder finish and greater finals experience provide balance, with the even 50% implied probability reflecting the clash between Carlton’s current form surge and the Cats’ overall consistency. Roster availability and any late injury updates could shift sentiment ahead of the contest.
