Dino Prizmic enters the US Open first-round matchup against Alexander Shevchenko on hard courts holding a stronger 2026 win rate (29-15 overall) than the Kazakh, who sits at roughly 26-28 amid inconsistent hard-court results. Prizmic, ranked 101 and a career-high 70 earlier in the season, has posted better serve reliability and return conversion trends in recent months while excelling on clay before shifting surfaces. Shevchenko (ranked 89) has notched occasional wins but shows weaker break-point defense and a lower overall win percentage on the current hard-court swing. With no prior head-to-head meetings, the edge in recent form and surface-adjusted metrics shapes trader consensus around the younger Croatian’s implied probability in the best-of-five encounter.
