Caroline Elliott leads the British Columbia Conservative Party leadership race with strong trader consensus, driven by her first-place showing in a recent Pallas Data member survey at 31 percent and endorsements from former premiers Gordon Campbell and Jason Kenney. Her background negotiating the BC United merger and appeal to a broad base of the expanded 42,000-member electorate have consolidated support under the preferential ballot system, where high exhaustion rates favor the frontrunner. Kerry-Lynne Findlay trails as the main alternative with federal cabinet experience, while Iain Black, Yuri Fulmer, and Peter Milobar remain distant amid debates over ideological positioning and governance readiness. Voting opens May 23 with the winner set for announcement on May 30.
