The Late Show with Stephen Colbert leads Emmy trader sentiment for Outstanding Variety Series at 65% implied probability, buoyed by its status as host Stephen Colbert’s final season on CBS and a record nine nominations—the show’s strongest showing in 11 years. Industry forecasters such as The Hollywood Reporter’s Scott Feinberg rank it first, citing consistent critical favor and the emotional weight of a long-running late-night exit in a newly merged category that combines talk and scripted variety entries. Jimmy Kimmel Live! sits second at 21%, supported by steady ABC visibility and solid precursor attention, while Last Week Tonight with John Oliver trails at 13% on the strength of its sharp writing and HBO platform. Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show remain long shots under 2%, reflecting limited recent momentum relative to the frontrunners. With final voting underway ahead of the September 14 ceremony, Colbert’s swan-song narrative remains the dominant catalyst.
