Higher-rated players such as Levon Aronian, Anish Giri, Nihal Sarin, and Daniil Dubov hold early edges through superior recent results and head-to-head records against lower-seeded opponents. Key factors include current form from prior CCT or Chess.com events, opening preparation under rapid or blitz time controls, and the ability to navigate Swiss-system pairings or groups without early upsets. Late-round fatigue or specific matchups could still shift outcomes before qualification locks in.
