Elyse Tse enters this W15 Monastir hard-court quarterfinal as the clear favorite against Riko Kikawada, reflecting her higher WTA ranking near 937 and stronger recent results on the surface. The 22-year-old New Zealander has posted multiple wins in the Monastir series this summer, including straight-set victories over Sofia Alekseeva and Tasnim Ismail, while maintaining a solid 15-16 hard-court ledger for 2026. Kikawada, a 19-year-old Japanese player ranked around 1182, arrives with a more limited record of 4-9 this season and has shown inconsistent results across Asian and Middle Eastern events. The pair also compete together in doubles at the same tournament, but their singles head-to-head remains limited. Surface familiarity and current form tilt trader consensus heavily toward Tse, though the low-level ITF event leaves room for variance based on serving and return consistency.
