The Big 12's unusually deep quarterback room keeps the 2026 passing touchdowns leader market tightly bunched, with no candidate exceeding 50% implied probability. Multiple transfers and returning starters—including Bear Bachmeier at BYU, Cutter Boley at Arizona State, Drew Mestemaker at Oklahoma State, DJ Lagway at Baylor, Devon Dampier at Utah, and Avery Johnson at Kansas State—bring proven production or high-upside situations into a conference featuring several pass-heavy offenses. After the opening weeks, early touchdown totals remain scattered across a handful of players, while most teams still have 10-plus games and full conference schedules ahead. This combination of roster parity, schedule length, and limited separation in recent form leaves traders assigning nearly identical odds across more than two dozen viable options.
