The Odyssey leads the 2027 Best Picture market at 49.5% implied probability, driven by its strong July 2026 release, critical acclaim with a 96%+ Rotten Tomatoes score, and robust box office performance as Christopher Nolan’s latest epic. Dune: Part Three sits at 15.5% ahead of its December debut, while La Bola Negra, Wild Horse Nine, and Digger trade in the 7-10% range on the strength of early festival positioning and director pedigrees. With the race still wide open this far from nominations, trader consensus reflects the Academy’s historical preference for prestige epics alongside uncertainty over how late-year releases and guild precursors will reshape momentum. Key catalysts ahead include Dune’s reception and fall festival results.
