The Scottish Premiership's early 2026-27 results have produced an unusually compact table outside the top three, with Motherwell, Dundee, St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Hibernian, Falkirk, Dundee United and Kilmarnock separated by just four points after six matches. This parity stems from mixed opening fixtures, multiple draws among bottom-half sides, and inconsistent attacking returns that have kept goal differences narrow. Promoted St Johnstone and sides like Falkirk and Kilmarnock have shown defensive vulnerabilities but also enough results to stay within striking distance of mid-table. With the split still months away and no team establishing clear momentum or roster stability, traders see comparable chances for any of these clubs to land on or around tenth place by May.
