Lando Norris enters the final third of the 2026 Formula 1 season with two victories already secured, including back-to-back wins at the Hungarian and Dutch Grands Prix that highlight McLaren’s recent pace gains under the new aerodynamic and power-unit regulations. The reigning champion sits fourth in the drivers’ standings on 159 points, 83 behind leader Kimi Antonelli, yet has converted strong qualifying sessions into race wins while demonstrating superior tire management and adaptability in variable conditions. McLaren’s MCL40 has closed the gap to Mercedes in recent events, with Norris posting poles and podiums alongside two DNFs earlier in the campaign. With roughly half the calendar remaining, including circuits where the team has historically performed well, trader consensus at 70.5% on three or more wins reflects Norris’s proven ability to maximize opportunities when the car delivers competitive race pace.
