This market will resolve to “Yes” if any orbital data center is successfully launched by the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. “Orbital data center” refers to any spacecraft, satellite, or equivalent technology carrying computing infrastructure that is launched into Earth’s orbit for the purpose of providing data-center, cloud-computing, or artificial intelligence computing services and which includes at least 100 data-center-grade AI accelerators, GPUs, TPUs, or substantially equivalent compute processors, (e.g. NVIDIA H100 GPUs, Google TPUs, or equivalent or successor chips). “Successfully launched” refers to any launch which successfully places a qualifying orbital data center into Earth’s orbit. The primary resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.Starcloud's November 2025 launch of a satellite carrying an NVIDIA H100 GPU—followed by successful on-orbit LLM training—represents the clearest recent catalyst, validating radiation-tolerant AI hardware in low Earth orbit and spurring FCC filings for massive constellations. SpaceX filed in January 2026 for up to one million orbital data center satellites tied to its xAI efforts, while Google published radiation test results and system designs for its Project Suncatcher TPU constellation. Additional momentum comes from Aetherflux's high-valuation funding round targeting a 2027 node and multiple 2026 FCC applications from U.S. firms. These developments reflect trader focus on engineering milestones, launch timelines, and the 100-accelerator threshold for market resolution amid terrestrial power and land constraints.
