The tightly contested nature stems from a deep, balanced draw on fast North American hard courts, where Taylor Fritz, Rafael Jodar, Felix Auger-Aliassime, and others like Jakub Mensik and Joao Fonseca hold realistic paths through favorable sections. Recent results, including Zverev’s three-set win over Cameron Norrie and early advances by several contenders, underscore how form, rest, and potential upsets among in-form players keep the race wide open heading into the later rounds.
