Recent short-range forecasts from models aligned with the China Meteorological Administration indicate mostly sunny conditions over Chongqing on September 3, supporting daily highs near 34°C amid light winds and low humidity. This consensus drives the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 34–35°C, as traders weigh numerical weather prediction outputs showing limited cloud cover and stable high pressure. Genuine uncertainty persists from small differences in model resolution of local basin topography and afternoon heating rates, which can shift the peak by 1–2°C. New runs from global ensembles and official briefings expected in the next 24–48 hours will likely refine the temperature trajectory before resolution.
