Anastasii a Sobolieva enters the ITF W50 Gdansk singles match on outdoor clay as the clear favorite due to her superior WTA ranking near 290 and stronger recent results, including a straight-sets win over Marcelina Podlinska in the same event plus a semifinal run at the WTA 125 in Brescia. The 22-year-old Ukrainian has shown consistent form on clay surfaces throughout 2025-2026, reaching a career-high of 197 last year. Beatrise Zeltina, the 19-year-old Latvian ranked around 520 with limited senior singles experience, has primarily competed at lower ITF levels and shown more activity in doubles. No prior head-to-head singles meetings are noted, and the clay conditions plus Sobolieva’s momentum create a significant barrier for the underdog despite her youth and potential for improvement.
