The 2026 NFL passing touchdowns race remains tightly contested among a deep group of quarterbacks because multiple high-volume offenses feature proven weapons and favorable matchups without a single clear volume or efficiency edge. Jared Goff enters as the market leader on the strength of his consistent output in Detroit’s system and recent multi-year leadership in passing touchdowns, yet Joe Burrow’s projected workload with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, Matthew Stafford’s repeat potential after a 46-touchdown 2025 campaign, and Dak Prescott’s supporting cast keep implied probabilities bunched. Additional contenders such as Brock Purdy, Drake Maye, and Patrick Mahomes benefit from stable offensive lines and receiver depth, while injury history, regression to the mean, and week-to-week usage variations prevent any outcome from pulling away decisively in trader consensus.
