Joe Burrow enters 2026 as the narrow market leader for most passing touchdowns, driven by his late-2025 surge of 15 scores in six games after a turf toe injury and a Bengals offense built around Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins that projects for high volume and red-zone attempts. Matthew Stafford faces regression questions after his 46-touchdown MVP campaign, while Jared Goff, Dak Prescott, and Brock Purdy benefit from established high-output schemes and receiving corps that support 29-plus touchdown baselines. Drake Maye, Justin Herbert, and Caleb Williams add depth to the field through expanding roles and efficient supporting casts. With multiple quarterbacks clustered in the 28-33 touchdown range and passing touchdowns showing low year-to-year stability, the race remains tightly contested entering the season.
