The trader consensus favoring a series tie reflects the closely matched NFC North rivals entering Week 3 of the 2026 season, with both clubs at 1-1 and similar offensive firepower from quarterbacks Jared Goff and Jordan Love. Recent results include the Lions' overtime win over the Saints followed by a loss at Buffalo and the Packers' overtime victory at the Jets after an opening defeat at Minnesota. Multiple injuries on both sides, including Packers edge rusher Micah Parsons and wideout Jayden Reed plus Lions defensive backs, add uncertainty to the October 25 matchup at Ford Field and the Week 18 rematch at Lambeau Field. Historical patterns show frequent splits in this longstanding rivalry, supporting the market's assessment of even outcomes over either team sweeping the two games.
