Milwaukee Brewers (24-17, tied for second in NL Central) head to Target Field as road favorites after a scorching 5-1 homestand that included sweeping the Yankees and taking two of three from the Padres, boasting MLB's third-best 3.35 team ERA with strong starters and bullpen anchored by Aaron Ashby (2.00 ERA). Minnesota Twins (20-24, third in AL Central) counter with 4-1 form over their last five but limp on a 5.38 bullpen ERA (29th) amid heavy pitching losses like Pablo Lopez's season-ending UCL tear and day-to-day hip soreness for Byron Buxton. Friday's opener pits Joe Ryan (3.43 ERA) against Brewers TBD (possibly Chad Patrick, 3.06 ERA), with Christian Yelich's back tightness a lingering concern for Milwaukee's offense.
