Both South Korean players bring solid WTT experience into this men's singles matchup, with recent form shaped by May's ITTF World Team Championships where Oh Jun-sung delivered steady wins, including a 3-0 result over Lilian Bardet and competitive sets against top Chinese opposition. Park Gang-hyeon has competed in WTT Contender events with mixed outcomes, often facing higher-ranked opponents. Their shared national circuit background highlights familiarity with similar training and styles, while current rankings and head-to-head trends favor the more consistent recent performer. Surface conditions, serve-receive dynamics, and any last-minute roster adjustments in the draw could still shift momentum in a best-of format.
