The Milwaukee Brewers enter the August 21 opener against the Atlanta Braves with home-field advantage at American Family Field and the stronger overall record at 79-49 to the Braves' 75-53. Jacob Misiorowski (12-5, 1.75 ERA, elite strikeout rate) faces Chris Sale (12-8, 2.16 ERA) in a matchup of top starters, with both clubs missing key arms—Braves without Spencer Strider and others on the IL, Brewers without Sal Frelick and multiple relievers. Recent form shows both teams around .500 over their last 10 games, while Milwaukee's superior bullpen depth and offensive output from players like Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio support the current market lean toward the home side. The three-game set also carries playoff positioning implications in a tight NL race.
