The 2026 fantasy football RB points leader market remains tightly contested among several bell-cow options because no single back enters the season with a clear edge in projected volume or offensive environment. Jahmyr Gibbs benefits from David Montgomery’s departure, positioning him for a larger share in Detroit’s high-powered attack, while Bijan Robinson assumes every-down duties in Atlanta following Tyler Allgeier’s exit. Jonathan Taylor retains substantial workload upside in Indianapolis despite quarterback uncertainty, and Derrick Henry continues delivering in Baltimore’s run-heavy scheme. Age-related durability questions around Christian McCaffrey and similar situational variables for other backs create a broad distribution of implied probabilities, reflecting trader consensus on the inherent variability of running back roles heading into training camp and Week 1.
