Multiple returning Big 12 running backs enter 2026 with proven production and comparable workloads, keeping the rushing touchdowns leader market tightly bunched among candidates such as LJ Martin, Cameron Dickey, Wayshawn Parker, Joe Jackson, Cam Cook, and Dawson Pendergrass. Martin paced the conference in 2025 with 1,305 yards and 12 scores for BYU, while Dickey posted a Big 12-high 14 touchdowns at Texas Tech; Parker and others added efficient volume behind strong offensive lines or dual-threat quarterbacks. Early-season results show no single back pulling away, as shared backfields, defensive attention, and varying team offensive outputs create parity. Traders reflect this balance through closely aligned probabilities, underscoring how injuries, usage shifts, or conference schedule strength could still reorder the standings before the regular season concludes.
