Jannik Sinner sits at 13,450 ATP points in mid-August 2026 as the dominant world No. 1, yet a recent right knee injury forced his withdrawal from the Cincinnati Masters and raises questions about his readiness for the US Open hard-court swing. The 24-year-old has compiled an elite 44-3 record this season with multiple Masters titles, but the inflammatory issue—described as non-structural—could sideline him from key ranking events through the fall. With limited remaining opportunities before year-end point drops accelerate, traders view a climb past the 15,000 threshold by December 2026 as improbable absent a rapid, full recovery and deep runs in New York and Turin.
