Lando Norris enters the second half of the 2026 Formula 1 season with two victories already secured—at Hungary and the Dutch Grand Prix—placing him fourth in the drivers’ standings behind Mercedes’ dominant Kimi Antonelli and George Russell. McLaren’s MCL40 has shown strong pace on high-speed circuits suited to its aerodynamic profile, yet the team trails Mercedes in the constructors’ championship amid the new lighter, narrower chassis and power-unit regulations that favor Mercedes’ engine development. Recent results highlight variable form, with retirements and mid-pack finishes offset by Norris’s ability to capitalize on strong weekends, while rivals maintain consistent points hauls. Trader consensus at 51% for three or more wins reflects this balance between Norris’s proven race-winning talent and the competitive depth across Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull lineups in the remaining rounds.
