Mateus Alves, the higher-ranked Brazilian at No. 548, faces lower-ranked Colombian Salvador Price in the ITF M15 Maringá semifinals on clay. Alves holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge after a straight-sets win last October and enters with greater experience on the surface, though his 2026 record stands at 6-9 overall. Price, ranked No. 933 and age 21, has shown strong recent form with victories in the event and competitive set-winning percentages. Home-country support and court familiarity favor Alves, yet Price’s improving results and aggressive baseline game create upset potential in this lower-tier matchup where momentum and physical freshness often decide outcomes.
