Industry tracking from Hits Daily Double places Drake’s newly released “Iceman” on pace for a 480,000–520,000 album-equivalent unit debut on the Billboard 200, placing the 500k–550k bracket as the narrow market leader. The surprise May 15 drop as part of a three-album rollout has fueled strong presale momentum and streaming dominance on Spotify and Apple Music, consistent with Drake’s recent historical patterns. Traders weigh competition from simultaneous major releases and evolving chart rules around pure sales versus streaming equivalents as key swing factors. Final certification will hinge on the full tracking week ending May 21 and any late promotional spikes.
