With two La Liga matchdays remaining, the fight to finish 17th and avoid the bottom three has produced one of the tightest relegation scraps in recent seasons. Multiple sides sit within five points of one another in the lower half of the table, and recent results have prevented any clear separation. Teams such as Mallorca, Levante, Girona, Sevilla, Espanyol, Alavés, Valencia and Rayo Vallecano continue to trade positions after mixed form and shared points totals around the 40-point mark, a total many analysts now view as the likely survival threshold. Athletic Bilbao and Osasuna remain in the mix through stronger recent home performances, while higher-placed sides like Real Sociedad have already pulled clear. The wisdom of crowds reflected in current pricing captures this parity, with no single club holding a decisive advantage in schedule or momentum heading into the final fixtures.
