**Liga MX's 2026-27 assist race remains wide open early in the Apertura campaign, with José Paradela and Carlos Rodríguez of Cruz Azul tied atop the leaderboard at five assists apiece through 10 matches.** Their strong positioning stems from Cruz Azul's high-volume attacking play and creative midfield setup, which generates consistent chance creation. Juan Brunetta (Tigres), Helinho (Toluca), and Jhojan Julio (Atlante) sit just one behind at four assists, while contributors like Alexis Vega, Luca Orellano, Lucas Ocampos, and others trail closely. The tight distribution reflects a balanced schedule, limited standout separation in key-pass metrics, and the inherent variability of assist tallies over a full campaign. No dominant individual has emerged, and squad depth across multiple clubs sustains the competitive field.
