This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Comeback Player of the Year award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Yordan Alvarez anchors the AL Comeback Player of the Year market at roughly 81% implied probability, reflecting his dominant 2026 rebound after limited 2025 action due to a fractured right hand and ankle sprain. The Houston Astros DH has posted MVP-caliber production, including AL-leading marks in key Triple Crown categories, multiple Player of the Month honors, and an All-Star starting nod while posting elite slash lines and power numbers. Lower-priced alternatives such as Jonathan India, Gerrit Cole, Anthony Volpe, and Zack Gelof trail significantly, as traders view their recent form, health recoveries, or statistical upticks as insufficient to challenge Alvarez's combination of volume, impact, and narrative fit under official Baseball Writers' Association of America voting criteria. Market pricing has remained stable amid consistent Astros results and Alvarez's continued production through mid-August.
